Frequently Asked Questions

Microsurfacing is a pavement maintenance technique involving the application of a thin layer of asphalt emulsion and aggregate. It is being done in your neighborhood to extend the life of the existing road surfaces and address minor issues like cracks and surface wear.

During the microsurfacing process, temporary traffic control measures will be in place. There may be short-term lane and street closures, and access to homes might be temporarily restricted. However, efforts will be made to minimize disruptions, and residents will receive advance notice of any planned work.

The duration of microsurfacing can vary, but typically, it is a relatively quick process. Generally residential streets will be surfaced and reopened on the same day, and residents will be informed about any temporary restrictions or changes in advance. The weekly schedule can be viewed on this website.

It is advisable to relocate parked vehicles off the road during the microsurfacing process to allow for unobstructed application. Residents will be informed of any parking restrictions in advance. Cars left on the street will be towed.

Put your trash can out as you normally would. If the trash has not been collected by the time we show up to the street, we will label the bins and move them to an area where they can be collected. We will then move the bins back to your house.
